Deconstructed English Wing Back Chair… RH Style!

2

May 19, 2014 by Terry

I mentioned a few days ago that I was working on a wing back chair.  I am so pleased with the way it’s turning out that I thought I’d give you a sneak peek at how it’s coming along.   I will share the “how to” and final pictures tomorrow or Wednesday as I still need to sew the cushion and make new legs…Yes, new ones…I made a huge mistake which I will also explain later!

Inspiration photos…Restoration Hardware Deconstructed Furniture.

IMG_1934IMG_1933 I’m in love with the simplicity and “flawed” look of deconstructed furniture.  This is as far as I’ve gotten, I’m so excited to see it finished!

IMG_1924IMG_1923IMG_1928IMG_1927I thought I might be able to use some wood legs I had salvaged off of another piece of furniture but I think they need to be a little chunkier.

IMG_1931Yah…I’ll be shopping for better ones tomorrow for sure!!!

So hopefully I will end up with something similar to this…

IMG_1934IMG_1931IMG_1923Stay tuned for the reveal, hopefully tomorrow!

Smiles!

Terry
