Talk About adding Character…Industrial Chandelier
5July 15, 2014 by Terry
OH…MY…GOOODNESS!!!! Guess what I made yesterday????? Only the cutest thing ever!!! Yah…I might be a tad excited over something so simple…but it’s soooooo cute! Look….(Okay, I may have taken too many pictures)
Oh I just love it!!! I had this antique oil funnel that was super yucky and dirty and thought it would make an awesome shade for the mini chandelier I had… I cleaned it up, dry washed it with a hint of white chalk paint and then used just a hint of wax to seal it.
This gave it a bit more patina and showed off the texture of the tin.
Then I drilled holes on either side of the funnel and attached some chandelier chain to them, threaded the chandelier wiring through it and voila!!!! Super easy! Super pretty! I put this one in my booth but I have an even larger funnel for a tractor that I think I will use to make on for myself.
Yes, I know…my mini chalk board is still reading Christmas greetings!!
So today was my last day off till next Wednesday, we spent it at the beach…had waaaay too much fun and got waaaay too much sun. My sweet husband missing out as he is away helping with the forest fires in British Columbia right now. He works for a company that does aerial fire fighting with water bomber airplanes. He started out this season in the Yukon but his tanker has been called to help out with the fires in B.C. now so they have moved there….We really miss him! Especially when we’re doing this…
Hope you have a great week. I managed to get a few more projects done before work starts again and I will share them with you throughout the week.
Take care!

I love your chandelier! It appeals to both shabby and industrial loving people. I’ll bet it sells in a hurry.
