Vintage Cabinet Finished & A Gorgeous Chandelier!
2June 12, 2015 by Terry
Last week I shared that I was working on giving this piece a new look.
It took many hours to complete this beautiful vintage beast of a piece but it was completely worth it!
Finished in chalk paint and still considering new hardware for the doors and drawers. the current hardware doesn’t look bad at all but if the right ones come along I will certainly let the owner of the cabinet know.
I was unable to stage the cabinet before I left the day it was completed, but I did manage to snap a few pictures with my iphone before I left. I do plan to go out to her home again to snap some pretty ones of it staged but I thought I’d share what I have so far.
After…
Sorry for the poor quality photo! What a difference the black makes. It looks so much more grounded and richer now with the contrast of the black with the natural wood.
See that chandelier in the background? I love it! It is soooooo big!
The owner of this home bought it at the Habitat for Humanity ReStore for a steal! She has so many great things that have been picked up here and there… I could spend hours just browsing her house looking at all the beautiful and historic pieces she has!
This chandelier is so pretty all lit up.
I’m working on a few things right now and have made many great finds myself lately. I’ll share more soon.
Sorry my posts have been so few and far between lately but to be honest … I’ve had a bit of difficulty finding my writing groove lately so I have been putting it off. I find once I just get down to business and go with it I’m fine, but take a break for a bit and it is difficult to start back up. :0)
Take care!

Sorry! No more pics as of yet. The owner ended up hosting some company following a funeral they attended the day I completed the project so I just snapped a few quick pics and left! … “Awkward!”… I haven’t been back just yet to do a little more with staging etc.
