Settling Tabs & Running Errands …

3

August 8, 2015 by Terry

Yesterday I spent the day doing just that … settling tabs and running errands!

Usually on days that are dedicated to things like that tend to feel unproductive as I don’t get any visual gratification out of being able to see my accomplishments.  I know I’ve gotten a few things done, but boy were they time consuming so it doesn’t seem like much was accomplished.

Yesterday was different.  I ran straight away to the Creamery to settle up my Paint tab and pay for the antique drill press I had bought from one of the vendors there.  I cannot wait to share with you what my plans for this drill press are!  Hopefully I will execute those plans soon.

The lady who sells the Milk paint and Chalk paint there is a sweet lady and she allows me to run a Paint tab there each month.  I am thrilled to announce that she is now carrying Fusion paint and I can hardly wait to try it out!  I think my tab just grew!!  Ha ha…

Next stop was to deliver a couple more items to the wedding site.  Remember the China cabinet I made over for the outdoor wedding?  Also the 3 teired table?

9#8Well I decided that because the Mother of the bride has been such a big fan of my work and has entrusted me with some pretty important things, I wanted to give her a gift as well.

So I brought her out this accent chair to go beside the Antiqued Linen China Hutch…

1920's chair 5When I got there they were all calmly (yes, calmly … can you believe it?) buzzing around the gorgeous property decorating and primping for the wedding!  Then I walked into the tent and my jaw dropped!  What a stunning event this wedding will be!

I actually drove down the driveway with tears in my eyes over how beautiful their day will be!  My daughters thought I was nuts since I don’t even really know the people but I don’t care… I’m happy for them!

Next stop was out to another country home to deliver a piece I did a short time ago.

The piece was in my booth so while I was settling my tabs at the creamery I loaded it up to take to it’s new home.  I don’t mind delivering pieces for my repeat customers.  This lady has become more than a customer anyways, she is a great friend.  I love going out to their country home as well.

While we were there we enjoyed some kittens, and the horses, a few calves and played with the new puppy!  My girls and I left with huge smiles on our faces laughing about all the sweet animals we got to play with.

Having a day with errands like that to do are very fulfilling and rewarding.  I wish all errand days were like that one!

I hope you are having a great weekend!

Thank you to all who joined up to my first linky furniture party!  I hope you will join in again starting on Thursday evening next week.  I can’t wait to watch it grow with all your talents!

The lights in the tent were just being set up when I brought everything out so I never got to see it all put together. The Bride’s mom assured me they were going to share pictures of it all though. I haven’t heard from her yet. Sorry it has taken me so long to reply, I have been very under the weather and today is my first day up and about.
Hope you’re having a great day!
