Shabby Pillows & 3 More Sleeps Till The Little Deer Market!!

December 2, 2015 by Terry

Most people do not know this but I suffer from low back pain caused by a small ‘deformity’ in my low back.  I was born with an extra vertebra that has fused itself to my hip.

After months of injections to relieve pain, my Dr. decided I would be a good candidate to have RF Neurotomy performed.  For those of you who do not know what that is, it is when they take a metal probe and burn the nerve endings along the spine to deaden them and relieve pain.

Well, yesterday was the big day and I nervously went and had it done.  I was super scared!  The words ‘burning’ and ‘nerve endings’ should not be in the same sentence as far as I’m concerned  ;)

After having five children you would think I shouldn’t be afraid of the pain but…

Anyhoo!  I am so happy to say that all went well and I am feeling just fine.  I feel a little uncomfortable today but that is to be expected.  I am looking forward to some pain free DIY in the near future!

I know I should be relaxing for the next couple of days but I am sooooo excited over this Market that I can barely sit still!  I thought I’d share some DIY shabby pillows I built for the market.  They aren’t anything super fantastic but they are simple and pretty!

  4. Oh my, that doesn’t sound like a fun procedure, Terry. I hope you’re feeling more comfortable today. Your pillows are so pretty! Good Luck this weekend at the Little Deer Market! If it’s anything like the ones I attend here in the Edmonton area last weekend, you will be one busy gal!
