Welcome to Making Broken Beautiful for another week of eye candy and inspiration to get you moving on that DIY piece you’ve been procrastinating over!

I have to apologize for my absence this week.  I have barely had any time to visit my favorite blogs and leave any sort of encouragement anywhere!  I have been running around to appointments for both myself and my girls.  I haven’t had much time in the garage at all which means that for three whole days in a row I actually did my hair and make -up and wore real people clothes!  Wooohooo!

I did however have time to take a peek at all the links from last week and these are a few that caught my eye :)

Kim from The Painted Poppy Studio created two pieces of furniture out of one by turning a Waterfall vanity into nightstands!  Brilliant idea kim!  They look ahhhhmazing!!  You absolutely need to check out the before of this project!

Ashley from Vintage Refined shared this striking emerald green chest of drawers!  The finish is so well done and professional!  What a beautiful and bold color it is making it the perfect statement piece in any room!  Well done!

Patricia from The Wood Spa shared how to create a stunning and classy media center using mismatched furniture!  You really must visit her site and check out the before pictures of this project.  What a great idea to blend pieces together in this way!

This stylish little nightstand was suffering from a serious case of the ‘blahhhhs” until Jolena from While I linger got her creative hands on it!  Another great example of the miracle of paint and paper!  So sweet now!

Finally … I went out to visit my friend Manja from Dutchie M. Design for a coffee the other day and after I left she went all craft crazy and painted up this awesome sign!  I left too soon I know but I had furniture coming to the house!  She is planning on a workshop to make more if anyone is interested (which I am!) just let her know via Facebook!  I am hoping to get in on this one for sure and I hope she shares a tutorial on her site as well!

  7. Such beautiful pieces. I am just beginning to think about updating some pieces I have and something found by the curb. I am nervous to begin, but it is time. There is some great inspiration here!

Be courageous and remember that when you are doing a makeover there is always an ‘ugly’ stage so press on and it will be lovely in the end! I hope you will share your projects here when you’re done so we can cheer you on! I hope you have a great weekend!

Terry, it sounds like you had a busy week. I might need to schedule some appointments just to make myself get some makeup on my face and wear regular clothes. Lol. I love the features, especially that green dresser Ashley refinished!! Hope you have a wonderful weekend!!
