The Beginning of a New Season…

7

November 10, 2013 by Terry

Hello!  Welcome to the beginning of a new journey… I hope you will come along as I explore the endless possibilities of  repurposing the old to make something new!

For many years I have collected pieces of furniture from thrift stores etc. and brought them home and turned them into something pretty to decorate my own home.  I have always been a lover of decorating but never had the funds to buy the beautiful pieces I would see in a store or catalog, so… I would buy junk, bring it home, and turn it into something beautiful for a fraction of what the store charged for it new!  My husband would think I was crazy bringing home some of the things I did… Some were fondly known as “road kill” …. But later he could not believe the transformation!  I will share some of those pieces with you as we go!

Very nice work. I like the details you included (stripes, stencil, cute little legs) because they really pop. What kind of paint did you use? And where did you get the stencil. This piece is lovely. Ann Marie @ Iris Abbey
