The Old Creamery Antique Mall…

1

Last June I went into the local antique mall and browsed around a bit, dreaming about all the things I would put in a booth if I had one there….

I looked around and thought…”why can’t I start a booth of my own?”.  So I found the owner of the mall and asked how one would go about renting some space.  He told me that all the space was rented at that time but that if I  wanted he could place me on a waiting list.  I said yes, left all my contact info and went on my merry way.  I was sure that I wouldn’t hear from him for at least a year as there was quite a few names ahead of mine.

Last week my phone rang and to my surprise it was the owner asking if I was still interested in renting some space……WAS I????  Of course I was!!!!!  I went down there right away to check out the space.  It is the perfect size for a starter space…not too big or too small.  I am allowed to do what ever I like to the space…paint it, add flooring, lighting etc.  What ever I want!!!!   Oh yah!!!  I can hardly wait to get in there and pretty it up!  It’s really quite ugly right now (no offense to the previous renters) as the walls are bright salmon color with a million screws and holes in them.

So because of the holidays I am a little limited as to when I can get in there to do some painting and fixing, plus I don’t officially get access until January 1st :0(….    I have been busy pricing items for the booth and bringing some  things home from storage to work on so I can put them for sale right away.  Did I mention I’m SUPER excited???!!!!

My husband is having a little separation issue over some of the items I will be taking to the booth….turns out he likes some of my “junk”…..I have to put my foot down and remind him that those things were bought with the intent of selling them after I had fixed them up.  I assured him that there most certainly would be other things to love in their place soon…Ha!

Well….That’s the upcoming news for my plans in the New Year.  I am excited and nervous at the same time, I know I need to go do some more shopping very soon as I want my space to be loaded with inspiration for the potential buyers coming in.  Maybe this week I will hit some of my favorite places to see what’s new.

Take care and I hope everyone had a warm peaceful Christmas! We are having a nice quiet Christmas day at home, the girls did my hair and makeup for me and took some photos with the new cameras they got…the boys are preparing to go out and try out their new snow racers…hopefully their daddy won’t hog it too much!  LOL!  Thanks for stopping by!  I will have lots to show you later this week!

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!!
