Adding some greenery fresh or faux always gives that instant Christmas feel.
It is to me, the biggest impact that is so simple and easy to do.
Just laying a thick garland across a mantle or table is so eyecatching!
I would’ve preferred mine to be made from real boughs but time slipped away (again) so I decided to recycle some that I had bought at the Dollar Store. I took 2 different types of faux greenery and mingled them together adding some pinecones and white berries. Putting the two garlands together gave it a bit more fullness and took away some of the ‘cheap’ feel they had on their own. I also added a string of LED lights to them to give the mantle that Christmas glow in the evening.
I created another faux green garland for the antique sideboard using the same materials but without the lights. I arranged some candles in glass containers as well.
I am so lucky to have scooped up this antique gilded frame from the All Things Pretty Market … sorry Manja ;)
I love the look and feel of it even though it has some damage.
I know, I know … When am I ever going to finish my 1/2 done sideboard??? (another piece I unknowingly scooped away from Manja :( ! sorry!)
It deserves so much better than this!…
But for now I will just pretty it up with Christmas greens and candles
Only four more sleeps till Christmas! Are you ready?
Just a quick note: The Making Broken Beautiful party will be resting this week but will resume again on December 31. I will share my favorites from the last party on the 31st. It will be the last one of this year so please feel free to link up all your favorite projects from 2015!
I wish you all a Merry Christmas!
