I recently required this sweet antique adding machine from my neighbor. They were weeding out a bit of what they called “junk” from their garage and wondered if there was anything I was interested in. Over in the corner of the garage on a wonderful little primitive cabinet sat this…
… An eight column Burroughs adding machine!!! Thank you neighbor… Thank you!!!
Imagine the days when the convenience of this adding machine first came out.. oh how much easier it made doing the pay roll and accounting tasks at the office! AND…it was PORTABLE!!! WOW! It only weighs around 20lbs!! Ha!
I love the way it looks..dirt, spiderwebs and all… I looks so nice on my primitive table with my deconstructed wing back chair…my rusty bolt…
The only problem is I can’t keep the kids off of the buttons…we’ve been playing office since it came to live here :0)
I just finished painting a little metal 3 drawer dresser today..share that with you soon!
Take care!

Hi Delia! Yes, I did do the chair in this post. I love Restoration Hardware but can’t afford the real deal so I tried to make my own. :0) I love this chair! Thanks for stopping by!
