unexpected change! … a tale of a new table

Ever pass by a garage sale sign and think “ugh! if I don’t stop and take a peek I might miss out on something great”?  I do that all the time!  I don’t stop at every sale I see though, I would never get where I was going if I did!  If it is easy to find … I’m there!

Every now and then you just get a “feeling” that you need to stop and “just see” never having the intent to buy, but just look :0)

I did that 2 weeks ago.  Stopped to take a peek and ended up taking home this pretty dining table for just $15.00!!! The fellow holding the sale noticed that the table caught my eye.  He had a $30.00 price tag on it which was a steal to begin with… I told him that while I loved the table, we just didn’t actually need it.

He let me browse around at the rest of the sale and as we were leaving he yelled “FIFTEEN!  FIFTEEN dollars and it’s yours!”  What????  $15.00????  I seriously couldn’t leave it there for $15.00!!

So now?  Yah, It’s home! :0)

IMG_3292IMG_3293IMG_3290IMG_3291IMG_3313Yes… I got excited about my new find… cupcakes for everyone!  Gotta share the loooove :0)

Change is good… unexpected change can be great!  I listed our other table on a local classified ad website and it sold quickly.  I know this isn’t my “forever” table, but I will enjoy it until I find  can afford the one I really want! (RH dreams!)

Take care!

Smiles!

  1. So cute! Is there room for everyone to eat at the same time lol ? And I’d love another glimpse at the light fixture! AND don’t tease with those cupcakes!!!

    • Ha! Yes, we can all fit around it…but our guests will need to find their own place to sit lol! The light fixture? Well…it stays decorated for Christmas all year long… sorta embarrassing but I really like the frosted greenery on it :0) AND don’t get too excited about the cupcakes…Baking is NOT my gift :)…the icing is yummy though.
      Have a Happy Sunday!
