Yesterday while out and about I decided to pop in a local antique store for a peek as I hadn’t been in there for quite some time.  This lovely window caught my eye right away.  I loved the look of the old putty cracking around each pane and the dry blonde wood.  I could see it matching the wood on my primitive table.  I also was drawn to this old sewing machine cover which I think will make a great blanket box or magazine holder or… endless uses for it!  Bottom line…it’s rickety and old and I love it!!

I decided to play around with the camera today and my new finds make for great subjects.  I also found this little tree the other day at my favorite thrift store.

DSCN3599DSCN3641I am not  the greatest at using this camera but I do enjoy playing around with it… Obviously still struggling but I think I am improving a little :0)

This is the sewing machine lid I was mentioning had caught my eye…

DSCN3611DSCN3607I love how dry and worn it is…

DSCN3606DSCN3605DSCN3604It will make pretty storage for something!

Now the window…

DSCN3626I hung it up in my dining room window.  We have a little beverage bar set up there on my antique sewing machine and it makes a nice backdrop for this area.

DSCN3652DSCN3648DSCN3661DSCN3655DSCN3656DSCN3624DSCN3621DSCN3652I also played around with the camera photographing the book page ornaments … these pics are better than the other ones I took of them.

DSCN3613DSCN3615DSCN3617Of course my lovely assistant was helping me out with the camera today…

DSCN3643Oh those big brown eyes!

I’m not sure if I’ll keep the window or not, but for now I am enjoying it.  I recently finished a pretty little antique china cabinet in Linen Milk Paint but forgot to do a photo shoot of it before I took it to my booth :0(  I will stop by tomorrow and take some pics to share!

Thanks for stopping by!

Smiles!
