A Special Gift For A Special Little Girl | Wooden Rocking Horse No. 2

September 19, 2016 by Terry

Do you remember this sweet little rocking horse that I made over for one of my special clients?  Well, a couple of months ago I was asked if I would do another one for her, only this time it would be for a girl!

This time the horse wasn’t as large or as detailed so this was my opportunity to make it as detailed and pretty as it deserved to be!  Every little princess should have a pretty horse to ride right?

I wanted to give this little princess a customized sparkly ride so I got out the FAT paint in Pink Cashmere and some metallic paints and set to work.

Here are the results!

This sweet little horse got a diamond encrusted saddle and handles as well as her initials branded on the hip with glitter!

Since the original yarn mane and tail were lacking in the glam dept. we gave them a few ribbon curls through out … ‘extensions’ if you will ;)

Now this little princess can ride in style!

I hope she enjoys her 1st birthday gift from her auntie Christina.  What a great tradition you have started by giving each of your nieces and nephews a horse for their first birthdays.

Thoughts on this table??? Creating a beautiful rustic outdoor dining area... this entire table is salvaged wood. The base found separately from the top and joined together to form this unique outdoor living space. Along with the chandelier we added in some beautiful patio lights on the beams creating a dreamy setting for a lovely summer evening outside.
