Baking is NOT My Gift…But I’d Like to Share a Trifle…

First of all I’d like to say that when it comes to baking….well…people don’t usually ask me to ….there’s a reason for that…. it’s not my gift at all!!!!
There are only two things I am successful baking and that is Banana bread and cupcakes out of a box…So when I came across this recipe from a blog called Raining Hot Coupons via another blog’s link up party I had to try it. It looked sooooooo yummy and sounded SUPER EASY…which it was!!!
This is the recipe that will make you look like a superstar!!!! Really!!! If I can do it then ANYONE can!
1 bag of original oreo cookies
2 pkgs of instant chocolate pudding
1 box brownie mix (I like the Duncan Heinz ones)
1 large container of cool whip
Chocolate syrup (like what you put on a sundae)
1 Lovely trifle bowl :0)
1 – Make the brownies as per the instructions on the box and set aside to cool completely (I put mine out on the deck for 20 min in -30 weather..I guess the cold came in handy!)
2 – Make both packages of instant pudding as per the instructions on the box and place in the fridge to set
3 – Once the brownies are cool divide the pan in half and cut one half into small bite sized squares. Sprinkle these onto the bottom of your trifle bowl.
4 – Cover the brownies completely with a thick layer of the chocolate pudding
5 – take a cup of milk and dip the Oreos in it one by one. Crumble them over the entire surface of the pudding layer. I used half a bag of Oreos for this layer dipped in milk.
6 – Cover the Oreos with a layer of cool whip. Use half of the large container.
7 – repeat steps 1-6 and end with the cool whip. Make peaks in the cool whip and sprinkle with chocolate sprinkles or cookie crumbs. Take the chocolate syrup and “drizzle” (I love that word…I had never really drizzled until this recipe!) it over the cool whip to finish…..
SUPER YUMMY!!!!!
We are having this for desert tonight, I can’t wait! :0)
Hope you enjoy this as much as our family does! Thank you to Raining Hot Coupons for sharing in the first place :0)
