Welcome to Making Broken Beautiful!

Sometimes a little inspiration is all you need to get you going on your own DIY project and last week’s party did not disappoint!

Please join me in enjoying the inspiration from last week’s party…

To start, I have been saying forever now that I am going to build my own industrial shelves and I never get to it.  It ends up feeling a little intimidating with all the elbow joins etc. involved in the assembly.  Tara from Twelve On Main has inspired me once again to give this a try.  She has taken out all the guess work by sharing her design and the how to’s for this project!  THANK YOU!!  Go check it out and maybe give it a try for yourself!

Sherry from Savvy Apron shared her gorgeous French Chair makeover.  Not only does she share her experience with trying to paint the fabric first but she also shares how to transfer an image to fabric using the wax paper method.  In the end, through all the headaches she went through with this little chair, it turned out stunning!  Go check out how this little chair went through it’s changeover to being beautiful!

Patti from Old Things New created this beautiful pollen free screened in porch using drop cloths and industrial pipes!  I love the space she created and I am loving how she created her curtain rods out of pipe!  She shares the before, after and during of this beautiful project.  Who wouldn’t want to sit and enjoy this space!

Kim from The Painted Poppy Studio shows that less IS sometimes more with these two pieces.  She took two ratty pine dressers and gave them a new look look using Country Chic paint. I have never painted hardware on a piece but I like how it turned out on these pieces!  They look lovely and are not overdone!  Oh… and that wall clock ... gorgeous!
